Aircon Group was involved in a large Air Conditioning Installation project with a speedy turnaround at the end of 2019!
Natuzzi Editions is an international Italian furniture and home accessories brand that has grown in the UK over the past few years. The brand recently took over a building at Teesside Shopping retail park, with the aim of refitting it and opening it to the public on Boxing Day– a challenge for any company!
Six of Aircon Group’s engineers worked alongside Decor Duemila Group to help get the store ready in time.
Air Conditioning in a retail environment is vital to ensure that shoppers are comfortable in all weather conditions, meaning an increased likelihood of purchases and return visits, as well as helping sales staff perform as best they can.
Four Toshiba 25kW twin cassette units were installed in the 10,000 square feet store, with four condenser units at the back of the building. The condenser units were installed with guards to protect against accidental damage (for example, that may be caused by a delivery vehicle reversing).
The cassette units were installed in a suspended ceiling, which posed an extra challenge for our engineers, requiring the use of a MEWP (mobile elevated working platform)
We worked alongside the other suppliers to help install the Air Conditioning units faster without having to compromise quality, for example, coordinating our work with the electricians on-site to help save time.
Our Heating Team also supported the installation, installing sinks, toilets and taps in the staff offices.
All the suppliers worked together, and the store successfully opened to the public on 26 December 2019.
