An exciting position has become available for a full time Senior Accounts Assistant based in Stockton.
The candidate will work 37 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm.
Role Requirements
- Sage 50 Accounts experience
- Microsoft and Excel Skills
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain and develop good relationships within the company and with customer and suppliers
Role responsibilities including, not restricted to:
- Send invoices/proforma’s to customers on time and accurately
- Banking and reconciliation of customer accounts
- Journals – check and assign the correct amounts to the correct departments and nominals codes
- Credit checks for all new and existing customers and suppliers
- Verify and set up new customer and supplier accounts
- Credit control – chasing customers as appropriate, keeping to timescales and sending reports to management
- Process authorised purchase invoices including expense forms & visa receipts
- Deal with transactions for the petty cash and ensure that reconciliations are completed weekly
- Preparing suppliers payments and CIS certificates
- VAT Reverse Charge for customers and suppliers where applicable
- Verify calculations and input codes into the Accounts system in an accurate manner
- To ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner
- Deal with correspondence to and from clients and suppliers
- Answer queries via email, telephone and letter
- Reporting to HMRC
- Management Reports
- Month End Reports
- Any other ad hoc duties
