Airsafe, a 100 per cent environmentally friendly sanitiser certified to kill all germs including coronavirus in a matter of minutes, has been launched by the Aircon Group.

The Thornaby-based company has reported a 100 per cent success rate in tests conducted in a chain of national supermarkets with Airsafe, a multi-purpose sanitiser for refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, which also contributes to cleaning the air as it passes through A/C systems on average five times per hour.

“Airsafe is a vital product for commercial use as we come out of lockdown and strive to keep hygiene levels pristine and bacteria to a minimum,” said commercial director Tony Marsh.

“Originally developed for different purposes within a completely separate industry, when the full effects of the  COVID-19 pandemic hit, the product development and strategy changed direction. Aircon Group utilised Airsafe’s anti-bacterial properties to create the product for the greater good.

“We all know that Covid is here to stay, so having these products which kill 99.9 per cent of bacteria within 60 seconds is a huge breakthrough.”

Once a deep clean has been carried out, the application of the products, premises and equipment are safe for 6 months – a great reassurance for employers in sectors such as the leisure industry in their plans to get staff back to work safely and customers back on the premises with additional reassurance.
